People enjoy the cool waters of Lake Greeson for a variety of activities. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing day plucking fish from the bank or a boat. The Little Missouri offers class-five canoeing and kayaking to thrill seekers and some of the best trout fishing you will find in Arkansas. Or if you opt for a little more fast-paced adventure take a boat or jet ski out on the lake for skiing, fishing or exploring.

If the prospect of striking it rich intrigues you the Crater of Diamonds State Park on the south edge of Murfreesboro is your destination of choice. Crater of Diamonds State Park is the only diamond mine in the world where the public can search and keep what they find. The mine turns out about 1000 diamonds a year to excited tourists and seasoned park regulars alike. According to the estimates by the Arkansas Geological Survey, it will continue to do so for nearly 500 years.

There are many activities available in the area year round. In the fall the colors are great for photography and the weather is cooler so hiking is a great activity. In addition there are an abundance of deer in our woods attracting hunters form all over to southwest Arkansas.

In the winter, anglers from all over the world come to attempt to catch trout from the Little Missouri River and take part in local fly-fishing guide Jeff Geurin’s annual fly fishing festival.

Spring and summer bring bird watching such as viewing eagles along the shores of Lake Greeson. In addition, the waters at the lake and the river are teaming with fish.
